Deutschlandweit Mobil (remote)
Full-time
Permanent employee

What you will do

  • Modernize a business-critical frontend application in production by reducing technical debt, refactoring legacy code, and making architectural decisions balancing user value and long-term sustainability
  • Work closely with UI/UX on modernizing both interface and user experience, implementing designs while proactively contributing ideas that improve usability
  • Establish and evolve frontend standards across UI consistency, accessibility (WCAG), testing practices, and code quality
  • Build and contribute to reusable component libraries and design system integrations that scale across the product
  • Challenge requirements when they don't serve users or the codebase, and partner with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to align technical solutions with business needs
  • Drive meaningful modernization increments into production while owning outcomes, unblocking progress, and raising what's broken
  • Work heavily with AI across the entire software development lifecycle, managing its risks as rigorously as you leverage its benefits

Your profile

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification that serves as your technical foundation
  • Several years of hands-on experience in frontend architecture and modernization of complex web applications
  • Strong proficiency in Vue, Nuxt and TypeScript
  • Experience contributing to reusable component libraries, UI patterns, or design systems
  • Solid understanding of testing practices, particularly Unit and E2E testing
  • Sound knowledge of accessibility standards and ideally practical experience with WCAG-oriented implementation
  • You link technical decisions directly to user value and business goals, always questioning why a problem matters, who it is for, and if it's the right solution.
  • You shape architectural direction without needing formal authority, helping your team grow through role modeling, constructive feedback, and strong technical advocacy.
  • You are comfortable working in complex production environments with mature or legacy systems, successfully handling shifting priorities and ambiguous requirements while actively improving the codebase.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams with Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Resilient and focused in the face of ambiguity; comfortable navigating large-scale change projects
  • You are fluent in English; German is a plus
